Our partnership with Intershop

Peter Behrens, the initiator and founder of the eCommerce Brigade, has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with Intershop AG, which began back in 2001. Whilst the on-premises product line of the standard eCommerce platform Enfinity was still under development at that time, today it is the cloud-based versions of ICM Intershop Commerce Management, in which AI agents for buyers and merchants are already integrated in a practical way, have established Intershop as a world-leading provider and operator in the standard eCommerce platforms segment.

25 years of joint project experience

Over the past 25 years of working together on challenging eCommerce projects, Peter Behrens, our team leader, has supported Intershop AG with his expertise in numerous international development projects in the areas of requirements, project and quality management. These included projects for well-known clients such as Quelle, HP, VW Votex, Mexx, Sheego, STAPLES, Karstadt, Baur Versand and Bertelsmann Online.

In this respect, it was only natural to enter into a partnership with Intershop AG, Jena, shortly after eCommerce Brigade GmbH was founded.

What makes our partnership with Intershop so special is the Intershop team’s decades of experience in developing complex eCommerce platforms with a focus on the B2B sector, their extensive expertise in marketing these platforms, the professionalism with which Intershop manages international projects, and the excellent support provided for all technical queries or challenges, both during a project and whilst operating international platforms.

Furthermore, we greatly value Intershop’s partner strategy and the work carried out by the Intershop team in collaboration with its international partner network. The regular partner calls, the direct dialogue on product and partner-related topics, the numerous professionally prepared marketing materials, and Intershop AG’s long-standing and continuously expanding training programme are, for us, the cornerstones of a sustainable, thriving partnership. Among the highlights of the partnership are also the Partner Summits organised by Intershop, where the partner network comes to life for each individual and where the most successful Intershop partners are also given special recognition.

From A for requirements management to Z for roll-out

As a Bronze Partner, eCommerce Brigade is well-placed to provide professional and expert support for projects utilising Intershop’s ICM Commerce platform, from A for ‘requirements management’ to Z for ‘rollout’. Thanks to our wealth of experience with a wide variety of Intershop systems, eCommerce Brigade is also well-placed to undertake projects involving the migration of earlier Intershop versions to an Azure cloud-based system from the new Intershop product range.

Intershop AG’s current flagship product, the cloud-based Intershop ICM 14 Commerce Platform, is characterised not only by its tried-and-tested standard functions, processes and integration options for third-party systems, by the innovative integration of AI agents such as the Copilots for Buyers or Merchants, the Visual Product Finder and the Competitive Intelligence Agents. These provide customers of the respective online shops with an enhanced, modern shopping experience and enable the management and functions of the eCommerce platform to be organised more efficiently.
